  • Clay Bar then what??

2001 TranAM WS6 Black I'm getting the car ready for a photo shoot with some other car guys. My plan was to wash, clay bar, ?, then wax(Big fan of Tech 2.0 wax). My question is what is a good polish to use after the clay bar before I wax?. Or anyone have some info on a better way of doing things. also wich polish deep crystal or colorx ? Please any info is needed.

    Thanks

    I would do this:

    Wash
    Clay
    ColorX
    NXT 2.0

if you do not want any paint cleaning to be done, then swap out the ColorX for a pure polish, such as Deep Crystal Polish.

Cleaning - Something to help with mild swirls. Color X is a light cleaner wax and will fix very very light swirls.

Does your car have any swirls?

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
        Remove swirls my friends.

I'm a pretty big supporter of ColorX, especially for dark cars. Of there is any kind of super-fine swirls or oxidation it is the thing to use. ColorX even leaves a wax layer; so when you top it off with NXT you will have highly durable protection.

i think it goes like this -

                wash
                clay
                polish
                wax
