Meguiar's Products in Walmart

I live in Toronto and the Meguaires products are rare and expesnive here.

I have a friend in New Hampshire who I met up from time to time in Toronto. I am thinking to ask him to get me some Meguaires products form New Hampshire. What Meguaires products are available in Walmart?

Not much. Just NXT 2.0, Ultimate Compound, SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0 and maybe a couple of Goldclass products like leather wipes, leather cleaner/conditioner liquid, and plastic protectant of some sort.

The WalMart around me, here in N.C., has quite a bit, I saw a great deal of the consumer line but didn't see any of Meg's MF towels.

To name a few: UQW, UQD, UC, SwirlX, ScratchX, Clay kit, Gold Class wash & wax, NXT wash & wax, Hot Shine, Interior detailing spray ...

What Meguiars products are available in Walmart?

They do not carry any "Detailer" or "Mirror Glaze" items, however, they do carry the approx 39 of our consumer items....

My local Wal-Mart probably has the worst Meg's selection in Western Canada. You would think that they would have a promotion on wash soap . NOPE. I get my Meg's @ Canadian Tire or Part Source. At least they have sales once in awhile.

In my experience it really varies from store to store, just ask your friend what his store has.

To put things into prospective, NXT costs $34 CAN (with tax) here in Toronto.

My friend lives near Manchester. Where should he go locally to get me some Meguiar's products?

So far, I am looking for Smooth Surface Clay Kit, Gold Class Car Wash, ColorX, NXT, Yellow Wax...

My car is a silver Mercedes and is in excellent condition. Any other products should I consider?

I would get the clay kit, car wash, NXT 2.0 Tech Wax, and SwirlX. Since the car is in excellent condition, these things will help him keep it that way. ColorX is a cleaner-wax but for his finish I would recommend the cleaner and wax separately (SwirlX and NXT 2.0).

If you or him are eager to work on the car, I would do a full wash and then clay it. It's fun and clay will always remove some type of bonded contaminants. Even new cars off the dealer lot can be clayed with some result. What year is the car (just curious)?

My car is a 2004 CLK320 and has been maintained by Meguiars product since the car was new. I am sure I have swirls but since my car is silver, they don't show.

SwirlX is a cleaner, should I need another separate step of Polish before the wax?

Around where I live, Meguiar's is cheaper than most other products such as Mother's, Simoniz, RainX, Sundance, 3M, Stoner, etc, etc, etc.

So Meguiar's isn't only the best value, it's also one of the cheapest alternatives available to me locally. Just thought I'd rub it in... heh heh

Just for the fun of it, how much is NXT Liquid Wax in your area?
In Canadian Tire in Toronto, it's $29.99 before tax. It's a lot cheaper in US.

I believe it is $29.99 as well. But I usually drive to the States to get them. The closest Walmart is only 100 kilometers away.

Sounds like the tax rate in Canada is much higher than it is here.

I hope ours doesn't get any higher. The way the government is borrowing money, I'm sure higher taxes will be in order to pay for the loans...er, or should I say loan interest.
