I have a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser SE with the Trail Teams package that came with matte black TRD rims. Can I spray the rims when I spray the tire with a foam tire dressing and not harm the rims? It is hard to keep any spray off of the rims. Short of cutting a 16" circular piece of cardboard to cover the rims when applying I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be hepful.

Re: Black Matte Wheel Help
I don't know these particular wheels, but as far as I know all the Meg's tire dressings are safe.you should wipe off any excess after.
You might find it easier if you get a small sponge and spray directly onto the sponge, rather than trying to aim onto the tire wall.I do it that way to avoid too much spillage. After,I just wipe gently over any spots that touched the rims, with a paper towel or cloth.

Re: Black Matte Wheel Help
I do one of two things. The cardboard thing works, but seemed to be a hassle with my hubs sticking out farther than my wheel lip. If this isn't the case, it'd probably work pretty good.
Anywho...
1. Apply the dressing before drying. You will remove any overspray while drying.
2. After applying the dressing, wipe the wheel down with some QD.
