  • Cleaning fabric seats...

Okay guys, I only did a quick search and didnt see much so if this has already been covered just link it

Im doing my sisters car today basically just wash wax and interior. No need to do correction since she doesnt care and will mess it up within a day.

My question is what are yall using on fabric seats? For carpets im using apc+ brush and lgm. Is this what I should do on the seats also? My only worry is because the lgm doesnt have much suction that it will leave a little to much water behind. So what do you pros do?

    How bad are the seats?

You can spray on a towel, and blot a lot.

Our Neon seats are fabric, I sprayed APC+ on them, agitated with a pretty wet terry cloth, rinse (wet terry cloth), wring out soak, rinse (same), wring out soak, extract with remaining with shop vac. I took the seats out which made things a tad bit easier.....

The process seem to work pretty good for me......The seats weren't too wet at all and dried easily in the sun.

I use APC+ for most cleaning, but the Quik Out foaming spray is simply mind blowing stuff. It pulls out oil stains from floor mats in a single application for me.

Thanks guys! Aaron how hard was removing the vents and seats? Seats wont be to hard but Im not sure on the vents.

Mark, havent got any of the quick out yet but have been meaning to try it. Does the quick out need extraction also? Or does it just need scrubbing and damping with a dry terry coth?

              John-

In my experience QuikOut just needs to be blotted. It is VERY good. Better than the Bissell stuff at the home stores. Which really blew my mind!

I use Folex for spot cleaning and APC 10:1 for general cleaning with my steam cleaner. You could probably use Folex for the whole thing.

Can't remember where I bought mine....Maybe Walmart or Schucks (Kragen/Shucks/Checker/O'Reilly).

I forgot to mention that I used Foaming Quik Out on that Dodge Quad Cab I did a few months ago. Works Great as Mark said

I recently used ZMax Carpet and Fabric Cleaner to clean the upholstery in my parents' 2000 Honda Accord. Great stuff, IMO. Picked it up for $2 a can at Big Lots.

Well, it's low foaming so no worries there. Pretty much, I just sprayed enough on the seat(s) to cover it in foam twice, scrubbed it with a short-handled utility brush (has white nylon bristles) just like the one pictured below, rubbed/wiped dry with a terry towel, and then vacuumed to pick up loose dirt or lint.
