I use NXT Generation 2.0 on my new 2009 Buick Lucerne. It says not to put it on vinyl, rubber or non-painted surfaces. Are the bumpers made of vinyl or is it safe to use the NXT Generation 2.0 on them?

    Welcome to MOL Brian!

Is the bumper painted? If so then it should be good to go.
If it's not, such as black plastic, then don't....DON'T.....put any wax on them or else you'll stain it (black bumper turns to whiteish grey bumper where you applied the wax). It's a bugger to clean up stained trim but it can be done with the right products. Hope this helps ya.

          Welcome to MOL Brian.

This subforum is simply for introducing yourself and letting everyone know a little bit about you. If you have specific detailing related questions I would please ask that you post them in "Detailing 101." This helps to keeps things organized, and most importantly it makes sure you get the answers you need.

Since this thread had no information about you I am moving it into Detailing 101. Feel free to create a new introduction thread.

I don't know if your bumper is painted or not?

If it's just black unpainted plastic, you'll want to avoid getting any wax on it.You need to use a trim detailer, like gold class plastic trim detailer or natural shine to coat these kinds of plastics.

                  Hello and welcome to mol.

If the bumpers are painted, wax them.
