  • Trailer To Clean

    Hello all,
I have an enclosed trailer we use to haul an antique car ('52 Crosley) that is in bad need of a polishing. It is black aluminum with a polished aluminum lower band. It has been in the weather and is fairly oxidized. I will be cleaning by hand and wondered what would be the best and safest product for the surface since there is no clearcoat etc. I tried a small area with Cleaner Wax and it seems to work but thought there may be something better suited. Thanks.

When you say it is black aluminum, do you mean it is painted (black) aluminum?

I just want to make sure you are working on paint -or- metal, and it's quite important which one.

        Re: Trailer To Clean

I read my first post so I will try to clear it up. The top is black metal, I assume alunimum. The lower say from the fender down is "chrome", I assume polished alunimum, with diamond plate on the nose. I am looking for the best products to clean off the oxidation as well as the run off from the top. Thanks again and sorry for the confusion, I was having my first cup of coffee the first go round.
