  • Organizing my stuff.

I have a bunch of stuff and struggle with getting out from under the house (crawl space foundation) and on to the driveway without making a million trips.

I've been using a rectangular mop bucket but, I have more products that the bucket can accommodate.

I have a plastic rolling toolbox but, it's not deep enough for Megs bottles of waxes, quick detailer, aerosol cans of tire cleaner, tire dressing etc.

Anyone in the same situation? Any ideas?

I have a VERY compact house and even the pantry/laundry room is nearly overflowing. I've searched some more and might look at Lowes for a Rubbermaid Action Packer or similar. http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-117...dp/B00002N6SQ/

I don't really know? I take what I need for the job.But I just go into the hut,so I don't have the same problem.

How much stuff do you need to take to your car in one go?

I am not sure what you are actually trying to accomplish. If you are trying to stow your stuff that you will not need for awile then the tubs are great. If you are trying to stow stuff you need routinely, then I recommend using the tubs and putting casters on then to roll in and out. Being a guy who has spent the last 19 years under water on a submarine where space is a premium, my first recommendation is to weed through your stuff and see what you need and don't need. Get rid of the don't and that will free up some room. I hope this helps. Oh, if you have the room in your yard Lowes and Walmart have small sheds that would be a great detailing storage spot.

We put a little bar like this near the front of the garage for spray bottles, maybe you could fit it somewhere

I believe it was a bar to hang pots/pans from the kitchen dept. of some store. Maybe IKEA?

                  Re: Organizing my stuff.

I don't know how much stuff you have but maybe some of these would work. I got them from walmart and target. They have little wheels on them. I could see them working nicely in the garage. As you can see the one on the right is deep enough to hold megs washes, waxes, detailer spray bottles, etc. The only thing i couldn't fit in there were the all wheel cleaner and the hot shine tire spray but combined with the bar idea from murr maybe this could help solve your problem.

                    Hi

I live in a very compact house too and have very limited storage space. For example, I don't have space for the drawers shown in the post above.

I keep my stuff in the wash buckets I use for washing the car. I keep one bucket in the car and that has glass cleaner, quik detailer, and microfibre cloths and so on that I may use on the go; and then the tire shine, gold class car wash, more microfibre cloths, wash mitt and brush and so on in the other bucket and kept in the (tiny) laudry.

Let us know what you come up with. Clever storage solutions are always welcome!

What about a plastic tote on wheels? It would be tall enough for the spray bottles. Probably big enough to hold your wash bucket also. It would take up the equivalent of two wash buckets, maybe 3.

Anyway,it's a good space saver.Ikea is here aswell.I think that's a good idea for others that have limited space.
