  • How long does it take you to perform a "Quik Detail" ?

By "Quik Detail" I mean a wipedown with a detailer spray after a days worth of dust settles.

I use either Last Touch or Ultimate Quik Detailer on my Silverado and it takes me 25 minutes. A little LT goes a long way but I use a lot for lubrication so no marring or swirling occurs. I also go through four or five Supreme Shines. Plus I usually touch up the tires and glass as well.

So how long does it take you?

    QD or UQD.

About the same...20-25min.(I can get a bit carried away sometimes)

    I use 2-3 micros.

In that defination of a quick detail probably 30 min I like to move slower on my own car. Probably a little less than 25 on my families cars. However, I have been known to say that I am only going to do a quick detail on my car, just wash and wax and it takes me a long time

30 minutes, sometimes a little longer if I follow up the LT with UQD to remove random streaking,

Granted, I dont really do this often, but when I have had to, I think I move a bit faster than 30-45min. I guess it doesnt seem quick of it takes that long.

Yeah, about a half hour to QD the exterior paint, glass, chrome and rims.

~20 minutes. It goes a lot faster if you get most of the dust off with a Cali-Duster and just wipe off everything quickly. You will go through fewer MF's too. I only use about 2.

Very true Calais. I never QD my soft black paint without first removing the majority of dust with my CD. Keeps LT usage to a minimum as well.

Nowadays I cannot QD without using the Cali-Duster because I think about how much dust and grit I'm grinding into my paint. Sometimes QD isn't even necessary.
