  • How to smoothen paint edge after peeling off tape?

Hello. After repainting my fender with an aeresol can of paint, I have an edge from where I peeled off the tape. What is the best way to smoothen this edge to prevent flaking?

what you could do here,is mask off as close to the line as you possibly can and then gently sand down with fine grit wet/dry papers.Start with a 1200,then when you're close,go finer, something like a 2500.Once it's pretty level, remove the tape and use a polish to blend it in.It'll not be perfect, but better than seeing a line of paint.

Just an extra point here for anybody doing any touch up spraying. After masking off, instead of leaving the tape stuck down fully, peel back about half of the tape,on the side which is to be painted and that makes a bit of a buffer effect, and gives a bit of blending and will avoid the line that happened in the case above.
