NXT Tech Wax 2.0 labeling

My old bottle of NXT tech wax finally got used up, I went to the local body supply shop and bought a new one, the newer "2.0" version. When I got home I took the bottle out of the box that it comes in and its exactly like my old one, it doesnt read 2.0 anywhere on the bottle (whereas it does on the box)... is this just how they are labeled? Or did someone throw an old bottle in my new box?

If yours doesn't look like it, take it back and exchange it or get your money back.

thanks for the quick reply, looks like I got taken. But its too late I've already opened the bottle. That really bothers me because I really wanted to try the 2.0 to see if I could notice an improvement over the old version. *#@%!!!!

Let me guess, you bought the NXT Tech Wax in Canada? If so there was a labelling problem that affected Canada only. Here is the quote from Mike Pennington of Meguiar's about the issue:

Hi Chris,

In digging deeper into this, we discovered there was a label mistake made during Mfg. on Tech Wax part # G12718C, which is distributed in Canada only.

The original Tech Wax labels were used by mistake on 2.0 bottles....However, we can assure you that any Tech Wax in a 2.0 box, definitely contains 2.0 liquid regardless of the label on the bottle. Corrective action has been taken, and we do apologize for the confusion.

We want you to know that using incorrect labels to "run inventory down" is not practiced here at Meguiar's. A was a simple mistake that was made.

We hope you understand.

It's not too late. It doesn't matter if you have opened the bottle. Meguiar's has a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. Return it to the store with your receipt and get your money back.
