  • D 151

Heys guys, heres a question for the users of D 151. I know it depends on the skill of the detailer, but is it possible to acheive a swirl free finish by using the D 151 with a rotary buffer and only a rotary buffer? I have never used it before and was just looking for some feedback.I am use to the three step method: compounding, polishing, then LSP, I guess im just looking for a shortcut whenever I can get away with it. Thanks

    Yes, it is possible.

Some users have reported occasional hologram problems, but it is not the norm.

Some paint may not play well with D151, but most will. If you get holograms I suggest shorter work time.

I know it depends on the condition of the particular car, but would it be best to start off with a polishing pad or start off with a cutting pad (using the rotary)

Yes, I had troubles to start with but after practice it was easy

I found low rpm with rotary worked ok but had much better results with D/A at least on single stage paint
