  • Lettering on tires.

I haven't been able to find anything on MOL about it, but the lettering on my tires is fading fast, besides a bleach pen i don't know what to think of using. Any ideas?

APC would work nicely on both the tire and white lettering.

I haven't ever seen RWL really "fade," but not get thoroughly cleaned. If the APC doesn't work (it should), Eagle One Wheel and Tire Cleaner will sure do the trick!

E1 All Wheel and Tire cleaner is the bomb for tires and white lettering.

Try Westley's Bleach White. It has always worked wonders for me.

I used to use SOS pads on my moms' Olds Cutlass with white stripe tires, did a good job long as you don't get carried away with the scrubbing.

In the past I used this, then added bleche white with it. Like he mentioned just don't get carried away, as part of what you are doing is abrading the darker material right off the tire.

Yeah, SOS pads are good, though I would just try the APC first.

Thanks everyone, now if the threat of rain would leave the state i would gladly go out and start scrubbin.

I vote for Westley's Bleche White. It will really get your lettering white again.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                          Remove swirls my friends.

I'll add another vote for Westley's Bleach White

Always gets the raised white letters on one of my cars and the white walls on another car perfectly white. One one of my cars, with the white walls, the car also has factory sidepipe exhaust system that blows out pretty much right at the rear tires and always dirties up the whitewalls a lot and very quickly. The Westley's cleans it up better than anything i've ever tried
What am I, fly-paper for morons?

Washing in the rain is the best. You don't have to spend all of that time drying!
