  • After detailing?

I just detailed my 07 frontier truck, boy am I tired. Anyway this is what I did.
    Claying
    Color x ( one coat)
    #21 sealant(one coat)
Should I do one more coat on the sealant, maybe next week?
Also, can I maintain with Ultimate quick detailer OR Ultimate quick wax every week?
One more thing, how long this sealant last before I do this process over again? thanks

You can if you like, as long as you do a GREAT job of applying the first application and letting it fully dry before removing then the second application of wax is optional. Just be sure you wash and dry or wipe the paint clean before applying more wax.

Yes. Everyday if you like. Remember, UQD is for removing light dust, fingerprints and smudges, UQW should only be used on a surgically clean finish, so after you've washed and dried the car or after you've used a quick detailer.

Meguiar's doesn't make any claims as to how long our waxes or paint sealants will last because people take care of, or don't take care of their cars in too many different ways that will effect how long a micro thin coating will last.

If you wash gently with a premium non-detergent car wash soap, (not dish-washing soap), then a coating of wax or paint sealant could last up to 2-3 months.

It all depends upon how the car is touched and where it's parked the majority of each day.

Wax often and you won't need to worry whether or not you have enough protection.

Ok, that sounds good. I pretty much clean and wax every week with the quick detailers, thanks

Sure can. Just be sure to wash it first if it stays outside. You want a very clean finish before applying wax. Hitting it again for a second coat within the first 24 to 48 hours is ideal.

The Quik Detailer can be applied daily if you want while I'd follow the instructions above for the Quik Wax product. No need for daily applications of it and the surface needs to be as equally prepped as if you were using a regular wax.

I usually wax my personal car once a month so I never have to worry about longevity issues and I find the car stays much cleaner that way in between washes.

I'll probably do the second coat but not until next week when I have the time, but will clean it properly first. I've never done that kind of detailing all in one day, my back said so.

Just wash before you put that additional coat of wax on.
