I've been playing around with it and it seems to darken the paint pretty darn good, about as good as a pure polish

I wash them with simple green and then add vinegar in the rinse cycle. Then air dry when possible, occasionally I'll throw them in the drier with nothing added

    Perhaps clay residue?

    Perhaps something on the towel?

I can't explain what you are experiencing. It doesn't sound like how those products are expected to perform. Especially M205, it was built to have the fastest/cleanest wipe off in the industry. We have many raves supporting this performance target.

I wish I could be of more help to you, but I can't really explain what you are seeing.
no worries, like I said I'll keep an eye out on the towels.... and I'm not too sure this would be clay residue (looks a little different), maybe that's all it is

you could very well be right! I mean like I said I get a brand new towel for every panel, but you never know, I'll keep a look out especially for this and report back next sat when I do another car. Thanks

Try using foamed glass cleaner for the final wipe down of the panel with a fresh towel. I use Sprayway, but others should work.

    (Thanks for the tip, Nick).
I tried to make "clean" in bold during my post. But for some reason, the "B" button wouldn't work for me

I don't know whats going on here. Maybe wipe the entire vehicle down with a quick detailer, then move on to wax. Wiping it down nefore you wax(which everyone should be doing anyways ) will ensure that you have removed all traces of product off the vehicle.

Edit: Do not wax between M105 and M205. There is no need to do this at all, as the M205 will just remove the wax.

    nope Here's what I do:
    wash and dry
    clay bar
M105 on a polishing pad at speed 4 on my flex DA
M205 on a polishing pad at speed 4 on my flex DA

should I wax between the m105 and m205?
again after a light wax application they're gone, as if the wax dries them out or something
