  • Will a perfectly polished surface get warmer in the sun?

Since, in theory, a perfectly polished surface will reflect more light, would it also reflect more heat?

Would the surface tempature of a perfectly polished black car be greater in the sun if the surface was polished vs. heavily swirled?

And if you add metal flake to black, which is brighter, will it reflect more heat or get hotter.

Or.....if the interior is a dark color, it may get hotter too?

Our Neon which is Orange Blast paint with black interior seems to be hot, while our Yukon which is gold with tan interior doesn't seem as hot, also has tinted windows......

    Hmmmmm
