Can Scotch Gaurd be used on the carpet in the car?

I bought some Scotch Gaurd and I read the back of it. The thing is it doesn't say it can be used on carpet's. Could it be used on it.

As long as the carpet is a type of fabric, I don't think there would be any problems. I'm pretty sure we've used Scotch Guard on carpets in the past in the Phillips household.

You could always call the company and ask a customer service person?

but besides that from my experiences scotch gaurded carpet actually makes staining worse.
