  • Wash Mitt Suggestion

I like to use lambswool wash mitts to wash my Mustangs. Something I worried about was the cuff. While I am trying to avoid putting swirls in my paint by using a nice deep pile mitt, the cuff always seemed to be a more likely source of swirls. After looking at the mitt one day, I realized that the cuff was simply stitched onto the mitt. I snipped one of the stitches and in a fairly short time was able to undo all of the stitching that held the cuff onto the mitt. Now when I wash the cars, there is nothing but that nice soft lambswool touching the paint. I find it's a big improvement. As a bonus, I find that I can get my hand in and out of the wet mitt much easier.

Just thought I'd put this out there for other MOL users.

    Re: Wash Mitt Suggestion

I have a lambswool mitt i got at walmart, nothing special but it does the job. Also used my MF mitt I got at pak shak for the first time yesterday and really like that one too.

I normally dont put my hand in the mitts and make sure not to rub the cuff on the car, but it is a good tip

not a bad idea, and if you dont want to take the cuff off you could fold it into the mitt itself

        I prefer lambswool.
If not use Microfiber (Meguiars) works best.
