Water blades
Has anyone had any problems with the water blades i.e.;scratching?

I do not use them, but I hear they could swirl/scratch your paint.Nick

I use a Cali Drying Blade sometimes and only if it's winter and I'm at the coin op where I can't flood rinse. I feel better using it on windows but I have never had an issue on paint although my AR kicks in when I touch the paint with anything other than microfiber.Comment

I have used it from time to time, but only on a freshly washed car that I did, not after a rain storm or anything like that. But I tend to do the flooding method and use my WW drying towels now. Will probably kepe it for around the house stuff2008 Toyota Corolla 5-spd

I use them all the time, and never had a problem with scratching or swirling. On my car though, I do the flooding method and then dry with a large microfiber drying towel.Shane

I like them.
Just make sure it's clean and smooth
You can only scratch your car if you have dirt on it (same thing with a towel, make sense?)
After washing, and rinsing I go over the car on the roof, windows, hood and trunk. Works great on the flat surfaces.
Then most of the water is off then I use my Water Magnet, done.
There great for getting the "big water puddles" off.Comment

I use it all the time. I think it helps alot from saving the extra MC. I guess i would like to find out if they really do scratch the paint. I dont see how they would if they are clean______________________

I used to use it on my Ranger. Over time I definitely noticed straight line scratches from blade use. I don't use it anymore (lost mine), but it would be good for glass and glass only if you keep a defect free finish IMO.Comment

Rinse your car with the SHEETING technique and there will be virtually no water left on the paint,then use a watermagnet to dry !
It only takes one grain of sand that gets stuck between the waterblade and the paint to make a long scratch !Comment
