Where do most peform this type of work, because don't you have problems with driveway/garage staining?

Or do you put some type of tarp under the area you are working?

I find that if you are working on an asphalt driveway or even interlocking stones ro concrete all of the rubber/plastic type dressings have the propensity to stain.

What is your method and how do you keep if off the driveway?

Well, I thought about that, but I suppose I'd need 4 large pieces of cardboard because when I spray ASD in the wells, it gets pretty messy and even though I try to rub it in with a brush, I still get a fair amount of spray and dripping.

Maybe some cheap garbage bags cut in two?

          New driveway?

Actualy I just do it in about the same spot every time, and try to use more of the sponge around the bottom of the tires, and less spraying. I dont do wheelwells as often, but still more wiping, less spraying.

Still have some staining, but only noticeable when it rains.

The road in front of my driveway is becoming more of an attractive option.

Since I eliminated the use of any aerosol or bottle sprays, I stick strictly to gels that I can apply with a paint brush or foam edge tools I bought from Home Depot. I no longer have that issue.

I know that may not help much with ASD/HD or Tire shine since pre-mixing is required.

We have a concrete driveway, and the only time the stain shows up is when there is water on the drive way, but it cleans up well with Super Degreaser. Paper Bags maybe?

You do not have to drive on the cardboard. I found that making a template, butting it up to the tire works very well.

Apply to a sponge then apply to surface. That might do the trick. For wheel wells, I'll spray some and follow up with a sponge to spread. Works well to minimize stains.
