Gold Class or NXT Tech for a brand new car?

I just got a brand new car. The color is kind of metallic gunmetal greyish. I have access to Meguiars NXT Tech and Gold Class wax but not sure which one would be better on brand new car.

I don't exactly remember but I've read in the past something like the nxt tech has some stuff inside which very gently i dont know how to say it, exfoliates, sands, removes a little bit of the top layer when applied whereas Gold Class does not have that function so it just adds a layer on top of whatever u apply kind of. Sorry for the poor description. Anyway this makes me think Gold Class might be better for a brand new car but I have half a bottle of nxt tech at home. What do you guys suggest?

I've used both products in the past and have been very happy with the results but never on a brand new car. Should I even use anything since the car will come from factory with some sort of wax, top layer etc.? Thanks in advance.

It is personal preference. You could try NXT topped with Gold Class. GC won't last as long, but will probably give more depth to the paint while NXT will last longer and just make the paint look shinnier.

I really suggest clay barring your car because it has been sitting outside at a dealership picking up all kinds of contaminants.

Gold Class is a sorta two in one product it has glazing oils in which make the finished result look good.

NXT 2.0 again not a wax on its own: not a wax at all actually, its a sealant come light filler come glaze style product it works best with two layers and it slightly deepens the colour.

yup, claying the car first would be a good idea, because you never know how long your car has been sitting outside, and maybe use a light cleaner, because you never know how the dealer washed the car causing any swirls or water spots :]...

about the wax, its all about personal preference, both of them are great different products with each advantages...
you could do both, you could do one of them..
the result is similar for other people looking at your car, but the satisfaction of what you have achieved is different... so it all depends on you

The product name has wax in it so I am confused when you say it's not a wax at all ....so I am confused.

Don't do it, otherwise the GC will just be rubbed away and have no point. You don't put carnauba over synthetic plus NXT has light cleaners. You can however put carnauba over synthetic

Use NXT 2.0. It's the best product out there

Very Easy to apply, and has a Deep Depth and Shine to it.

GC is nice on black cars

GC=Carnauba Wax

NXT=Synthetic Polymer Sealant

For protection, NXT is probably the better option because of its longer durability. Looks wise, for me it depends on how I'm feeling on the day. GC looks wetter in my eyes, while NXT looks more reflective in my eyes. Both approaches give great results.

what if you put NXT 2.0 and topped it off with the Step 3 Carnauba Wax (red bottle)?
anyone tried that? would the hydrophobic technology be gone?

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't if this car waited in an open storage area or not but it was in dealar showroom area (covered of course) when I bought it and I drove it off the showroom when I took delivery so they haven't taken it out I don't think. And I can't see any swirls on it (maybe very very light ones here and there which I think NXT will get rid of).

Looks like I'll use NXT Tech. I've been using it on my green Kawasaki for 2 years and I'm very happy with it. But I've been using Gold Class and wet look on my red MR2 in the past and was very happy with those also.

The one I have atm is half a bottle of NXT Tech but I'll buy NXT Tech 2.0 for the new car

probably, since the coating of DC3 is on top. But you could just replenish it by using UQW or UQD after you wash the car agin
