Polishing Lexan??

My friend has a race car with lexan on both windshield and back window. He wants some fine scratching a residue removed from a previous tint job on the rear window. What products would be best and more important what method to polish this material. I have both a PC and a rotary. Should I stick with foam pads or is wool easier? Any tips would be great.
