      2 - Finishing

Like Matt said, a case or 6 polishing pads is a great way to start out machine polishing that way you have plenty on hand and can tackle anything that comes your way.

One or two finishing pads for applying finishing waxes and if you want to remove wax by machine you always want to use a stiff pad and that would be a cutting pad.

Wiping the wax off by hand is also just as easy.

          Re: Any suggest for this?

Don't get the Red Cutting Pad. They aren't recommended for by DA with new users.

Get at least 2 Yellow Pads. One For M105, the other for M205

Get at least 1 black pad for the Wax.

You don't need to use ScratchX if you have the others you listed!

          1. Wash
          2. Clay
          3. M105-Yellow Pad (Speed 4/5)
          4. M205-Yellow Pad(Speed 4/5)
          5. M07-Black Pad
          6. NXT 2.0-Black Pad

Get Several Supreme Shine Microfiber towels to remove Wax/Polish... If you really wanted to remove the Wax residue by DA, then you have to get a Microfiber Bonnet. I recommend shopping at ADS.

Read my Car Care Guide in my Sig, it should help you out more.

            Re: Any suggest for this?

Regarding pads and the number one should get, see this recent thread: Polishing Pads for G110. I have five polishing pads and three finishing pads. I'm starting to think, though, that I should have at least one more polishing pad. And as noted by Megafast, don't worry about getting a red cutting pad, not unless you want to remove waxes with your D/A, in which case you will also need to get a couple of microfiber bonnets to cover the pad.

              Re: Any suggest for this?

I like at least 2 pads per product per car. So, if you use 2 products on a car, then 4 pads would be beneficial. One pad on a car will get saturated and not have the cutting power it should. Cleaning on the fly only goes so far, unless you plan on taking pad off, wash it then let it dry then continue on.

ADS has the 6 pack of pads, I would get 5 yellow and 1 black. If you stick to one wax, then you can use the black pad to apply wax then not have to wash it for another wax. A lot of people store in plastic zip bags.

You don't want to cross contaminate products.

When I was pad broke, I would dial my process in then, wash the pad I was using with another product as a back up. When the pad I was using filled up, I would change with the one I washed earlier and hopefully dried, then wash the pad I was using in case I fill that one up. It's a pain, I don't have a ton of pads, but I have at least 2 pads per product (usually 2 products once process dialed in on test spot), and have a couple of others just in case. I think I have 10 yellow pads, 4 finishing and 2 red pad.

              My .02 worth.

Also, get plenty of microfiber towels too! I have about 30 or so and use about 1/2 or more on our Neon. I use my Costco sold microfibers for door jambs and scrubbing and use my Meguiar's Supreme Shine for paint only. I also use the Meg's SS towels to dry the car, I usually only need one and follow up the door jambs with the costco yellow ones in case there is residual dirt in the jambs I don't want to drag over my paint!

              Have fun

You want the W8207 - Washable Foam Polishing Pad and W9207 - Washable Foam Finishing Pad. Check the numbers and make sure you get the right ones.

It can all be somewhat confusing. Be sure to read through the MOL archives, especially the relevant articles cited in the List O' Links. Also check out some of the articles and videos cited here: Internet Resources for Detailing Newbs.

If the G110 is unavailable in Canada, then why does the website of Meguiar's Canada have it listed? Why don't you call Meguiar's Canada directly and ask them: (905) 670-5580.
