  • orbital sander????

ok a friend gave me one he had found at a flea market brand new in box.I have never used one and I'm itching to try it out.Anyone had any problems with them? maybe some pros and cons or advice anyone can offer would be appreciated. It's pretty big and I was thinking of the more area I could cover would be a pro but just not sure about them

it's a great neck 10 inch orbital.wish I had a digital camera.it;s the kind that has a grip for both hands. One of the reasons I want to know about them is my friend got it for 15 dollars and said they have a six inch one I could probably get for 10 bucks.hmmm I dunno if they're worth it I'm gonna get the other one cause this one is pretty big

I think "Great Neck" is an auto-zone brand of tools.

yep, I saw that one in Auto-Zone yesterday for about $35 I think.

I saw another similar one at Costco for $28 but the handles move to different positions.

I was asking myself if these orbital polishers are safe to use for non-experts.

I have a 10" buffer. You can have it for free if you pay for shipping. It's never been used.

But everyone should know that these orbital buffers are only good for applying and removing waxes. They are ineffective at removing swirls and scratches. If you want to do that, you need to move up to a dual-action polisher.
