  • Ultimate Compound

I just bought some ultimate compound and was wondering if I could use it with a Rotary?

Also, If I used the UC with the rotary and wool pad, could I then re-apply UC with the G110 and polish pad? Or, would I need to follow up after the wool pad with a polish pad on the rotary??

    Re: Ultimate Compound

UC is not intended for rotary use- just hand and DA out of your options.

What are you trying to do that you are considering using wool?

I will be working on a car very scratched. I wanted to use the 105/205 combo but they are unavailable in my area.

May I suggest that you order online, pay the extra for the shipping, and get the right products for the job.

if you cant get the 105/205 combo then you could always pickup Ultimate Compound and SwirlX locally. Its up to you whether you want to wait and order online or just buy them locally but if you feel that the 105/205 combo will work for you then do what akimel says and order the online

          best of luck

I will make the order online one of these days. I needed something locally because I'll be doing the car today. M95 is available locally, anyone use that?

              Re: Ultimate Compound

M95 got a great review from Nick Chapman: M95 Speed Cut Compound - Nick's Review. M95 is a blend of diminishing abrasives and super micro-abrasives. Since you are a rotary user, this might be just the ticket for you.

I know Nick Chapman has used it and it's the "step brother" of the M105, Nick reports that it is good stuff.

Ultimate Compound by hand worked great on my Neon with hard as nails clear coat, so with a PC/DA it may just work great for you. Test spot.....

I guess M95 isnt available locally. I just called at least a dozen parts stores and they had no idea what I was talking about. One guy said he had M01, MO2, MO3 AND MO4, all the way up to MO9, all to be used as a system from MO1 to MO9!

Haha! Sounds like the guy is trying to sell you a bunch of products! Does anyone really need M03 AND M05 AND M07? Given that you are a rotary user, you could try M01, M02, and M04. I'm sure that the rotary pros here on MOL would share with you their opinions about the products and their advice how to best use them.

ADS sells it and pretty quick shipping unless you need it now.

The data bank is handy, I check it all the time for updates in my area. You'll be surprised who has stuff and a quick call could get you a product quickly and you support your local guy.

Kevin Brown is also an authorized dealer here on MOL and he surely has the know how of the products and what your working on, he can get you what you need so you don't buy stuff you don't need!

PBE store is the guy who offered up M01 to MO9! They all say, " I can order that for you...."
