I bought a new 2008 Chevy Silverado last March. The first thing I did was threw out all my old mismatch carwash/detail products and bought all Meguiars products. I even bought a new bucket just for my new truck. Well, I thought I was totally prepaired and of course I knew everything I needed to know about washing and waxing (I thought). One day I was coming out of the Gym, I looked at my truck with the sun hitting it, and all I could see was fine swirl marks all over it. Well I came to this site and started doing some reading, and I think that my washing and drying habits are the reason for all the swirls. I watched the video about washing and drying your car, and all I can say is that I am guilty of doing almost everything that the video tells you NOT to do. Now, I am looking to order a G110 and a couple of 5 gal. buckets w/ grit guards.
I have just had a 30ft. x 40ft. garage put up at my house. I'm doing the electrical right now. I can't wait to get the truck in there so that I can do some major detailing to it. It's getting very dirty sitting outside all the time.
