  • Quick Question for #80

Most of you guys say too good on #80 and I am so confused myself.

The question is do I really need to buy a bottle of #80 for my detailing collection? I have #83, #82, #81, #26, NXT techwax, NXT spraywax, Color X and Scratch X for my cars and the condition of the paints is okay / satisfactory.

    So, what are your comments?

You are probably fine with what you have, #80 is just a more aggressive version of #82 (don't quote me). You don't really need it, but it is a nice follow up to 83, but since you already have 82 you are fine.

#82 did a great job for me when I used it. To me though #80 does similar work as #82 but breaks down quicker. I find this important when I'm detailing for $$. I don't really want to spend hours on a car, 'cept my own.

I really haven't tested #82 too much yet, but I did some testing on #9 and found it mostly fills and does some light repair. I was buffing out some rubbing compound marks. The marks did start to disappear after several passes. Alcohol test removed the fillers to show damage left behind. Does #82 have the same kind of properties as #9.

      Hope you find this helpful

I'm sure #82 could have done the same thing. I really wanted to test #80's power. These results give me confidence in #80's ability to get the finished product I'm looking for.

        C32 AMG,

Hey! I also have the same dilemma as you have.. From what I've been reading, I think that #80 has more polishing oils to it and it can act as a step-in-on for mild cleaning and polishing.. Also, like everybody else said, it's more aggressive compared to the #82. If I get extra money, I would definitely buy a gallon of it.

        Hope this helps.

          Just to chime in,

The #80 Speed Glaze is a unique formula, it uses a different type of diminishing abrasive than the other cleaner/polishes, it is also very rich in polishing oils somewhat like #7 Show Car Glaze, it's also very easy to wipe off after you're through working with it.
