  • SwirlX Instructions

Hey guys, I have a quick question regarding SwirlX.

After you wash your car and get it dry up then you apply the swirlx, so after that how long do you have to wait to apply the foam pad?

Also about the pads, it could be any foam pad right?

You use a foam pad to apply the SwirlX. After the car is washed and dry you can start applying any paint care product including SwirlX. Check to see if the paint needs to be clayed first.

Note, only our waxes need to dry, so everything else, this includes SwirlX is applied, worked over the paint and then immediately removed.

There's a thread about which product need to dry in our Hot Topics forum.

For cleaning you would use a polishing pad for fine polishing you could use a finishing pad.

You are talking about which pads to use in relationship to a DA Polisher correct?

        For by hand, it's similar...

Wash and dry your car... Make sure that your paint is completely dry in the cracks and such because it ruins everything and is a pain when you get water mixed in while polishing/waxing, etc.

If your car needs to be clayed which it might, use the Meg's Smooth Surface Clay Kit.

Then apply SwirlX to a small section of the vehicle at a time using a Microfiber or Foam Applicator Pad. After completely worked in, immediately remove. You don't have to let it dry/haze.

It seems by your post that your confused on what to do. You remove the product with a clean microfiber towel, not a foam pad...

After using swirlX and your results are met, apply a wax such as NXT 2.0 with a different foam applicator, allow to haze, then remove with a Microfiber Towel.

This May help you as well:

I know this might sound crazy but I have a friend who also have swirls and he was wondering if the swirls can actually go away with time?

Well, to remove swirls, some paint must be removed.

So yes, if you were to leave the car out in the elements for many years without touching it... yes, eventually the paint, and so the swirls, would wear away.

Just to to be clear what Murr was communicating- he is NOT stating that swirls will actually fade away with a little time by simply ignoring them. He was stating (tongue and cheek?) that if you literally ignore the car and leave it outside for YEARS (10+) the paint will actually fail completely, and then essentially peel away...swirls and all.

In other words, ignoring them is NOT an option to "removing swirls."
