  • Clearcoat & Singlestage Paint Mix

I have a Ford Ranger to do with one side singlestage paint the rest of the truck is clearcoated. Is there a trick or process to use to make the two paints somewhat match.

Only look at one side at a time?

    Sorry, had to!

Do they match now? The only thing you can do is polish them both to their best possible finish (I would personally still use either M105, M205, or both) and then seal with the same wax or sealant.

Realistically, the question you were asking only was applicable at the time of paint- now all you can do is keep all of the paint, single or dual stage looking as good as possible. There isn't really anything that can be done as a detailer to match the paints otherwise.
