  • Difference between All Purpose Cleaner and All Purpose Degreaser?

What is the difference between an All Purpose Cleaner and an All Purpose Degreaser? I'm not necessarily talking about just Meg's products.

    Thanks

An All Purpose Cleaner would be ideal for general cleaning in your interior such as Vinyl, rubber, plastic or at a stronger dilution even tires. A degreaser is ideal for real dirty tires, wheelwells, maybe even engine compartment cleaning? not sure on the engine part, im sure others will pop in

I do not know for sure,
But I believe all/most APC have a degreasing property, but the AP Degreaser must have more degreasing property.

        Two things.......
The chemicals in each and the directed use.

All Purpose Cleaner is simply for everyday cleaning.
Degreasing is for severely soiled surfaces such as engines and tires.

You will need each as they both are a must in this hobby/business.

I know the website says "All purpose CLEANER", but on the can it says "All Purpose DEGREASER."

This is the MSDS. Can anybody tell if this is safe to use?

One is acid and ok to use in dilutions inside the car on leather.

The other is alkaline and cuts where APC doesnt but you'd never use it on the inside of your car.

Trying to work out if it kills off tar, traffic film, and so on for a prewash spray TFR but MEguiars dont seem to understand TFR's yet in america? IS it not a thing?

We have immigrants who run carwashes here, they TFR instead of snow foam if your front door panels and rear bumper are caked in crud they spray with TFR aswell as the fron bumper from all the oils, diesel, unburnt fuel, iron, etc fromc ars in front building up .

Meguiars need a TFR/Pre-cleaner additing to their professional detailer range. MAYBE APC does the same job but yet to be discovered.
