  • Are They The Same?

Is Cleaner Wax Liquid (A1216) 100% 'same product' as Mirror Glaze Liquid Cleaner(M16). It appears that both are AIO except that A1216 is for Consumer and the M16(correction, shall read as M6) if for Professional .

What I mean 'same product' is M135 is the same as UDQ.

    Thanks.

#16 is a paste wax, with no cleaning ability.

Did you mean #6, or #66?

Apologies, I mean #6 (the Mirror Glaze Liquid Cleaner Wax).

M06 is a tad stronger than A12, but still considerably mild.

No. M06 is formulated so that it ca be used with a rotary buffer, A12 is not.

All other factors being equal, below is the relative ranking of aggressiveness among our cleaner/waxes.
          • Meguiar's A12 Cleaner/Wax (Consumer Line - Maroon bottle)
          • M20 Polymer Sealant
          • ColorX
          • M06 Cleaner/Wax (ColorX, M06, M66 are all very close, w would put M06 and ColorX on the same par, M06 can be applied by rotary, that is the major difference)
          • M66 Quick Detailer
          • D151 PRC

I would have never guessed that M20 was more aggresive than A12 Cleaner Wax

              Thanks Mike.

My current Klasse AIO has come to the last drop and I'm looking for a replacement.

I'm looking something that can be applied by hand, easy to apply and easy to remove. Most importantly, it must be effective.

                ColorX

Over the years when I've read posts by people that have used up their AIO and tried ColorX they have always posted they liked the results of ColorX better and it's less expensive and dramatically easier to find on the shelves.

Here's what Washing, Claying, ColorX and NXT Tech Wax did all by hand to a 1947 Plymouth Coupe, You can skip the application of NXT Tech Wax and still get these kind of results.

Before - Horrible Swirls throughout the finish

First we removed the white paint overspray using Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit

Then applied one hand application of ColorX followed by one hand application of NXT Tech Wax Liquid

That looks awesome. How long did it take to remove all those swirls with ColorX by hand?

From start to finish I think I have about 12 hours into this old Plymouth...

                        Wash
                        Clay
                        Rub-out thoroughly with ColorX
                        Apply NXT Tech Wax

The claying and ColorX application took the most time as the little specs of white paint were a pain to remove 100% and of course removing swirls means removing paint, so applying ColorX and really working it over each square inch isn't a step that's done quickly.

Haven't seen the car since buffing it out but with a little detective work I could locate the owner as he works from home manufacture custom parts for performance motocross bikes and quads.

I'll look through the phone book and see if I can locate him, might be a fun car do do over again as I'm pretty confident he hasn't kept up the paint.

Most people don't appreciate anything given to them for free and I did this job for free just to showcase the products.

Mike - Incredible results. Was this single stage paint?

ColorX is one of my favorites, but I never would have thought it could do the job it did on those swirls.
