Does the Megs #85 and #95 get used by people?? I see where everyone recommends the 105 but I never see much of the 85 or 95 being mentioned. Are those going to go by the wayside with 105 being top dog?

    Re: #85 and #95

M85 has been around since the early 1990's and has a huge customer base, M95 doesn't get as much air time as M105 but it has a growing customer base.

What the future holds for any skew or product in our line is up to our users but at this time we don't see any of them going away. Keep in mind that online enthusiasts and professionals, whether in the refinishing industry or the reconditioning industry usually become aware of new products before everyone else in the industry that don't hang out on forums like this just as a matter information dissemination.

If you work in a body shop and don't get on a forum like this an no one comes around to your shop to show you new products like M105, M95, M86, M205 and D151 you tend to continue using what you currently know about and use, for example M85 and M84.

Time will tell which products become the most popular and which products if any, fall by the wayside.

        Re: #85 and #95

I use M95, but I too forget it is in my arsenal sometimes because it is so easy to reach for M105 and get great results.

M95 is listed as having the same cut as M105, but it "works" and feels different. It is more like a traditional, "old school" compound in terms of work-ability. I find that it finishes out fantastically well for the cut it offers- too.

It's always good to have a few options in case you get stubborn paint or weather that makes your "go-to" products act up- thus I make sure I have M105, M95, and M86 in my bags at all times.

M95 is great (low to NO dusting, long work times, easy wipe off)! Excellent value too (about $40 a gallon at ADS)! Do remember, it is recommended for rotary use only.

I believe Nick Chapman was the first one that chimed in about how good it is in HOT weather, compared to the OLD M105 formula. Thanks Nick!
