  • Meguiar's M105 DA new version

Getting amazing results with the "old" non-DA version of M105. Although not recommended...I use it w/ my DA.

Since I had purchased a gallon of the original, Meguiar's introduced the "new" Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut New Version - DA Polisher Approved.

Is there much difference btwn the two to justify purchasing the new version?

    Please advise.

Re: Meguiar's M105 DA new version

Even though the original version of M105 was not specifically recommended for use with the G110/DA buffer, if you're getting good results with it then it's hard for us to tell you stop. M105 was a bit prone to dusting when used with the G110/DA but if you're not experiencing that, or it's minimal and you can deal with it, then stick with it. There's a big difference between "not recommended" and "don't ever use it under any circumstances". Your results are ultimately what matters. Stick with what you've got until it's used up.

There's a major change in the formula to make it DA friendly.

Might as well use up what you have since you're getting good results with it and at some point when you re-order you'll have a chance to use the new version since it's what's being manufactured.

Re: Meguiar's M105 DA new version

I used the old version of M105 this past weekend using the DA G110 and did get some dusting. Other than that I got great results.

You might want to keep a small bottle (sample? 32 ounce?) of the NEW DA approved formula around in case you run into a situation in which it (old M105) DOESN'T work for you- then you aren't left stranded.

The new version will have DA on the label yes. It has been several years since this change, all M105 available for purchase through distributors worldwide should be most recent.
