Each person must make this choice on their own as once you apply any kind of coating or liner, if for some reason you decide to remove it then this will become a project unto itself.

A personal example is my Jimmy has brand new front fenders and fender wells with good, clean paint on them, at this time I would prefer to just have the clean paint and not apply a thick coating over them, so if any kind of road paint were to be splattered onto them my first preference would be to remove the offending splattered paint, not coat over it.

lol i Think i should call them. You think Paint thinner will Work?

I've used paint thinner many times with great results. Just be sure to do what Mike suggested and ALWAYS test it in a small inconspicuous area.

In the future, the standard answer will be to try one of the below but first test in an inconspicuous area to make sure there are no adverse or negative effects to the surface the overspray or splattered paint is stuck on.
        • Paint Thinner
        • Mineral Spirits
        • Lacquer Thinner (Might be same thing as generic paint thinner, will have to check)
        • Goo Gone
        • Goof Off

            After

Also is it safe to apply Paint thinner On the body of the car examples below.

              Looks Great!!
It looks like it cleaned it up pretty well, but there are still some spots, but much improved.

Glad you got it out of your fender wells!

Around 4 years ago(jeep was practically new) I was going to lunch and saw the road crew out putting in new reflectors in the center lines. I could see the glue they use slung all over the road and I tried my best to slow down and get away from it all. I ended up getting a few spots of it in my fender wells and maybe 2 spots on my rocker panel.

Short of taking a hammer and a screw driver to it, that stuff isnt coming off. Present day its still there and looks just like it did back them. Since there is so little Ive never stressed about it though.

Congrats! Glad it worked out for you. As far as using it on the paint, usually if it's the factory paint you should be fine, just be sure to test a small area first. I owned a 2006 Civic Si and it was fine on my paint...I also had a few road paint specs get on my car.
