Re: Who is this detailer (must read!!)
Back to the Master Detailer, do you guys think he is serious? I keep watching these thinking there's no way this is for real and it's a spoof. I've never seen a rotary move so fast and he gets the cord wrapped around it. Also why on earth would you sand down through the clear? You would distroy the paintjob... In all seriousness, you think this is for real?

Re: Who is this detailer (must read!!)
You can't teach this guy no more about detailing...obviously he has been doing this for the past 25 years, the master, best supercars detailer, numero uno, the only one who can sand a new car with 800 grid paper under the sun and finished it off with just the M85 take his money from his happy customers and leave...makes me think I wanna move to Jacksonville soon as I'm sure there are lots of swirled out supercars running around there

This means it is distributed to and used in the Detailing industry and it doesn't take too much reading on any forum to understand there are a lot of "Hack Detailers" that put more emphasis on making paint shiny fast, not created swirl free finishes.
Probably best to start your own thread on the topic of making comments on the forum instead of taking this thread off-topic.
Also, to post the link to a thread simply highlight, copy and the paste the URL address of the page you're wanting to share directly into the message box and then hit your enter key and the code will automatically be inserted to make the URL Address clickable.

In the bigger picture, we would love to have this guy join our forum and learn from it and we certainly wouldn't want him or anyone that may be using some less than perfect techniques to not feel welcome here on www.MeguarsOnline.com
Make sense?
I can remember when I first started out I made a lot of mistakes and used less than perfect techniques... often because that's how I was shown to do a procedure, that is I was shown the wrong way. Usually taught by a well-meaning person that was also taught the wrong way and now they're just passing on what they were shown.
It's called...
"That's the way we've always done it"
Passing on bad information or wrong technique is an ongoing cycle that luckily discussion forums like MOL and training classes like our Thursday and Saturday classes are able to stop and even correct for the benefit of others into the future. (You can't change the past but you can change the future).
The important point to keep in mind when posting to this thread or ANY thread like this one is that on this forum we want be seen as a warm and friendly place all detailers and enthusiasts can come to and find a community of people that are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to help... not criticize... there's plenty of other forums that already offer that environment...
And thankfully that's the reputation this forum enjoys thanks to our members.
That's all....

I think the "master" said he's been doing it for 25 years.

Re: Who is this detailer (must read!!)
"I'm the master"... Haha... I did get a laugh out of it and the kid as well, but it is scarey that people could watch that and get the wrong idea...
Being that we aren't allowed to bash, I will refrain from using the word "hack"

I totally agree with the kid standing beside the "master detailer" (0:12)..
