    Not this "Mike"

I have met a guy that kept a chunk of 1970's style Shag Carpet nailed to a piece of plywood which was nailed to the wall in his garage and to clean his pads he would take his rotary buffer and hold the face of the pad against the carpet and bring the RPM's up to about 2000 RPM

Over the summer I met a detailer that shared his "Secret Interior Detailing" system to me and as I watched him I wish I would have had my camera with me as I simply could not believe what I was seeing.

First, he took a Armor-All Original in what looked like the huge spray bottle and began spraying mass quantities all over the dash of a 2007 or 2008 Mustang. We're talking spraying this into all the nooks and crannies, vents, onto the gauges, EVERYTHING on the dash.

I stood there watching and couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was just to unreal... but then it got better...

Next he took a high pressure air hose with an air squirter and began blasting the dash spreading out the Armor-All and forcing it into all the openings and nooks, crannies, edges of components, etc.

Again I stood their in disbelief my jaw dropping to the ground and speechless. It was so hard to believe what I just saw with my own two eyes.

Next he turned to me and smiled and said, "Pretty cool system huh?"

I shook my head and said, "Yeah, that's pretty cool, thanks for sharing your secret"

And then casually walked away in utter disbelief.... (and kind of laughing)

It's rather interesting...I had a customer fly me to Jacksonville Florida a couple weeks ago to fix his Audi S4 that was detailed by a local guy with 25 years experience. The paint was wrecked---I mean, if you can see buffer trails and holograms on white paint in direct sunlight, there is an issue here.

I sent the customer the video link to see if it might be the same person, lol.

In the spoof, I like the way he attaches the applicator pad to the angle grinder.

Now that I have watched some other vids... I don't think his process and practice is right but he says he has Parkinson's disease and I think its great he is working around/with the disease, I wondered why he always seemed nervous. Anyway kind of makes me feel bad.

When the GT owner tries to get his money back, the judge will appreciate the video. Hard to sue with video of you praising the work. Might be good idea for high end details for first time clients.

Guy might be dumb like fox.

And for some reason, their customers are happy and keep coming back.
Everyone talks bad about Wal Mart but the place is packed all the time.

I'm not defending him by any means. I just think we can do more to help others than to sit here and trash someone.

This should be a "Hot Topic" on what not to do!

I wonder if he's ever heard of masking tape?

Don't know why but it's like a bad horror movie, you just can't look away.

I sure hope not, but I'm afraid it's for real. The guy doesn't look like he's in for a joke...
