Menzerna question

    Menzerna question

    I've noticed on autopia a lot of people that use M105 are following it up with a product from Menzerna. Here's a description of it:

    Menzerna Super Intensive Polish is formulated specifically for the new ceramic, scratch-resistant clear coats. Menzerna developed a new family of abrasives that are better able to penetrate the hard paint and level imperfections. Super Intensive Polish is the most aggressive of this new breed of polishes, capable of removing 2000 grit sanding scratches. Though this is a powerful polish, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish produces virtually no dust or haze.

    I have to admit that most of the finished pics of their cars look impressive using this. My question is will the new M205 be like this product? If it is, then I'll wait to get it, if not, I'd like to try this Menzerna. Has anyone on here used it before??

    I found the SIP to be very dusty. If I was going to follow M105 with a Menzurna polish, it would not be the SIP.

      I have used Menzerna for 2 years now. Good polishes but just really finicky. Humidity effects them so much. Final Polish is really good. I'm hoping that #205 is just as good but I'm actually hearing better. Even better than Ultrafina.

      The thing about Meg's polishes is this. I always know how there going to act for each circumstance. That to me is priceless.

        Good question. Time will tell.

        Conjecture on this topic is really useless as the only thing that's really going to matter is when the rubber meets the road and people using the combo you mention start using M205 and then posting their results.

        Two things that discussions forums provide...
        • When a product is good... people talk about it...
        • When a product is bad... people talk about it...



        So now that M205 is going to start shipping, once enough people get it into their hands and start playing with it there's going to be plenty of discussion taking place.

        Just keep in mind that M205 is a finishing polish designed to be used after M105, that is after the majority of all defects have been removed and the paint is already polished up to a high gloss as that's the kind of results M105 delivers when used correctly.

          I've had the same problems. First time I used it I was happy with the performance. The second and third time it was a little humid and I didn't like them at all. The forth time it worked fine. They have been sitting on the shelf since.

            M205 would be equivalent to something like Menzerna PO106FF. SIP, on the other hand, would be probably be equivalent to Meguiar's M83 in terms of cut. It's a medium polish, designed to remove compounding haze and medium to light defects. It's not a finishing polish like M205 (though it's reported to be able to remove more defects than the average finishing polish).

              Bingo.

              I bought a gallon of SIP right before I tried M105, and now I never use it because M105 essentially negates the need for a medium polish in most cases.

              I actually use M86 (solo cream) to follow M105 if I need to remove holograms.
