  • relatively novice detailer

hey there, i havent detailed my cars in over a year, living in south florida now where the weather is so unpredictable i havent bothered.

previously, i had purchased the PC 7336 and used their white pads, on my 2 mercedes
one is a 1985 nautic blue 500sel and other is a2005 granite grey c 320

anyways, this thxgiving weekend i have time to detail again

so what i have and what i did before is mothers clay and mist, the cleaner wax that comes with it, NXT 1 applied by the pad, and hand wiped the wax off.

i have pretty much the same prodcuts now, but i have some nxt 2 i just got.

i need pads, i have never used any other pads and i cant seem to find that 3 pad set meguiars usd to sell

what are your recommendations. meguiars or other brands.

i also need help on wheel cleaning, i have 3 piece amg wheels that have about 30 bolts around it, with a hand polished lip,
i have some meguires and mothers metal polish, i was gonna use but its hard to get in the between the bolts.

    advice and recommendations appreciated

I would use PlastX on your lights, it looks like they are a little oxidized.

Recommended Products - G100a Dual Action Polisher

Using the G-100 to remove swirls with the Professional Line

Each one, teach one... Ferrari Fiorano 355 F1 Spider

The wheels are rough... but hopefully using a good cleaner and maybe some clay will get most of the tough dirt off.

vdub, regarding pads for your PC, you might consider contacting Rick at Auto Detailing Supplies. Rick carries the entire Meguiars' line, as well as some others. I'm sure he can set you up with the right pads for your PC.
