Hello all,
New to the site, but not at all new to Meguiars products. I have helped many neighbors over the last 10 years get hundreds if not thousands of $ more by selling used vehicles after a good wash/clean/wax with Meguiars products. I even had one guy keep his car once he saw how much better it looked!
Here is my situation... likely familiar and all too painful for car lovers with tight garages. Tonight I managed to put a very light 18" scratch on the side of my polo green Corvette with the clutch handle from my Harley Davidson. Fortunately there was a sheet over the handle so it was not direct metal-on-fiberglass contact, but it did leave a mark. I don't think it is all the way through the clear coat... I can't dig in a fingernail. All I had in my cabinet was some Meguiar's A-1216 Cleaner, which seemed to help somewhat but did not hide the mark significantly to my satisfaction.
I have seen several newer products shown here tonight, but I am totally confused as to where to start... ScratchX, ColorX, Clay, wetsand... ??? is there a best place to start and get more aggressive until it gets much better? I would like to attempt the outpatient surgery myself because my experience is that some shops are worse than doing it in my own garage.
I can try to post pics on this post if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Skylah81
