  • What are differences between consumer and professional products?

I've used all sorts of Meguiar's products over the years, and I'm very partial to some professional products. I get Final Inspection 34 by the gallon, for instance.

My next purchase will be my first full synthetic wax/sealant, which I've never used before. I'm curious what the difference is between NXT 2.0 and Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant 21? I'll be buying one of those two products.

For that matter, what's the difference, if any, between Quick Detailer and Final Inspection 34?

    Thanks!

NXT and #21 are a similar product - the pro line is available in larger quantities. I can not tell you the difference in look the products provide ans its been a very long time since I have used #21, I use NXT 2.0 regularly.

There are tons of advantages of using other pro line products - something like #80 or #83 via PC does a very nice job removing minor defects and polishing all in one product. Nothing really like it in the consumer line other than scratchX. Another quick example it the consumer clay vs the mild pro clay, I find the mild pro clay is a notch above the consumer (little more aggressive) and can remove just about everything you would want to remove that's bonded to the surface.

Can't really compare most of the pro line vs the consumer line as most really doesn't compare.

Hmmm, the link for "Difference between NXT 2.0 vs M21" seems to be broken. I think it's supposed to point to this page:

Re: What are differences between consumer and professional products?

I personally like the fact that the 21 2.0 is available in the 64 oz. size. This is one of the main reasons I went with the pro line. Larger quantities available. Like the convenience factor. I agree with Brandon, I also think the blue mild clay is a tad more aggressive then the clay in the kit. Just my 0.02 worth.

The answer is pretty much the same.... The Detailer Line is geared toward pro-detailers, so you have bulk sizes, and products that can be used quickly to keep customers moving, and cover most basic problems a customer would have.
