Having trouble getting a thin even coat on car. It either goes on way too thick or so thin it is no where close to an even application. My microfiber cloth is new and it makes the cloth stop dead in its tracks. I know there is too much wax being applied but it refuses to go on thinly. My paint is smooth, clayed, no contamination. Have tried foam and micro applicators with no difference. If I use the Booster Spray it goes on awesomely thin, even coverage, and comes right off. Makes my white paint glow like nothing else, but the effort to apply and remove is discouraging with the paste. Any ideas?

Re: Nxt paste problem
Try liquid?
Seriously though, how are you applying the wax to your pad? Using a foam pad, just press against the wax and give a slight twist. Don't try to scoop/push the pad to much into the wax.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Nxt paste problem
Which paste wax do you have?
It should have a fairly firm texture and this will allow you to spin a wax pad on the surface which will then to liquefy the wax and let it seep into your applicator pad.
Now take your applicator pad and spread the wax out using an overlapping circular motion.
Using paste waxes tends to be more difficult and require more technique than a liquid.
Most people scoop the paste out of the can but that's the wrong technique.

Re: Nxt paste problem
I find the even coat MF applicator to help in application of paste products. They do make it easier to achieve a thin even coat as the name implies. That said, I do find the NXT paste be a bit more difficult to apply than the liquid or many other paste waxes. Nature of the beast?Jim
