make sure they know how many people you have told about your problem, this not only looks bad for the dealership, and now gm if someone from gm said it was okay
Good to hear. I really hope he can get things worked out for you as this is whole thing really bothers me.
Rasky
bothers me also. let us know how it turns out.
my single stage paint looks better than that, even without th clearcoat, my paint has no swirls or streaks or anything but a perfect reflection, with a little bit of orange peel.
That is some of the nastiest paint I have seen. That is beyond belief for a 2009. That is totally unacceptable. I hope your lawyer can light a fire under them to do the right thing. Best of luck to you. Hope it is a very favorable outcome for you.
It has to be escalated beyond the Zone guy, I don't know whether that is Detroit or the manufacturing plant (is it still Bowling Green?). I mention the plant because of the cult status of the car and one would think the plant would have some kind of Customer Service contact.
In my mind, the last thing you want is a repaint, unless it is done by the manufacturing plant or they are sending you to a known boutique specialty shop. Otherwise, if done by the normal commercial painter, it will kill the value on trade-in. They get (I'm not sure of the current rate) about $45 an hour whether it's a Corvette or a Geo.
The other thing I would do is take some pictures of a few same color, brand new, Corvettes for comparison, using the same angle and distance as the ones taken of your car. If you have evidence of five other Corvettes with superior paint, it would show what you got was out of the norm. I would also stop driving it until there is a resolution.
