Why use the uqd? doesn't it just remove the wax that you applied?

Re: Why do some people use UQD after applying NXT wax?
The QD is not a paint cleaner, that is it isnt strong enough to remove all the wax. That said, anytime you touch the surface, some wax would be removed.
But it is done because some people think it looks better/slicker.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

What Murr1525 said.
I waxed with NXT. After about a month it lost a little shine but was still protecting the paint. Went over it with UQD and it looked as if I had just waxed it again.
Another really important advantage is if you use UQD once a month or even more frequently as needed you will find that it extends the life of NXT and you will not have to wax as often. Plus it repels water very nicely. Overall it just improves your NXT wax job.
More shine - longer lasting wax - repels water...What's not to like?
Smells nice too!'08 Accord Cooooupe!

Re: Why do some people use UQD after applying NXT wax?
Perhaps to clarify, I use it after washes to bring back the shine as talex does.
But some people wax, and then right away do a coat of UQD to finish the detail.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

People use products like UQD to give their waxed finish a little extra pop or for that slick, hydrophobic effect.
Do what you like best, you don't have to use anything after waxing your car if you don't want to.

Re: Why do some people use UQD after applying NXT wax?
I think the short answer would be Ultimate Quik Detailer.
You can get Synthetic Spray Detailer #135 (Ultimate), Final Inspection or Last Touch in gallon sizes.
The job your doing will kind of dictate which is best to use at that time. Like, Final Inspection is formulated to be safe in a fresh paint environment where fresh paint is being sprayed.
Synthetic Spray Detailer #135 and Ultimate Quik Detailer are NOT recommended for clay lube. Last Touch can be diluted 1:1 , regular Quik Detailer and NXT Speed Detailer are ready to use for clay lube.
That being said, the main purpose of these products are for removing light dust, fingerprints and smudges and they all do that but are formulated, packaged and distributed a little differently.
Hope that helps a little.
