  • Car coming back from paint

Well, we're due to get my dad's Z4 back from the shop today, and I already know not to use wax on the car for the first 60-90 days or so (not a problem for me, just need to make my dad aware).

The question I have, though, is what sort of wash to use to knock the dirt off of the car...Should I just use GC car wash, or some of the cheaper Meg's car wash, or something? I just know I don't want to use Dawn or Joy or anything like that...

You can use any of our car washes on fresh paint, if you want the Meguiar's Purist choice it would be M00 Hi Tech Wash but again, any of our washes are safe for fresh paint.

After you wash the car you might want to feel the paint for overspray as it's common to have overspray on a car that's been at a body shop because there tends to be paint overspray in the air in these environments.

Thanks, Mike! I'll probably run over to the local PBE store to pick up some M00...I'm almost out of UQD and they've got the best price on it (cheaper than the local PepBoys - go figure) and I'm also figuring on claying the car as well.
