I have an 88 Honda with black trim and bumpers.
The front bumper was slightly faded and had what appears to be a hint of something similar to clear coat failure.(A 4 or 5 inch line near the hood)
I have applied M40 once: I masked the bumper, sprayed a cheap paintbrush with product and painted/scrubbed/misted the bumper until it was "wet." Wiped it off after 20 minutes. It still looks wetter in some places after 6 weeks.
Now I am thinking: Work a little in until dry, keep adding product until you get the appearance you want.
Now I am thinking....I am making this stuff up.
How do you do it?
Eventually, I am looking for a natural look. Subtle. Like a pearl not a diamond. I am not sure what you call that, but I have seen it here. I don't see it in my front bumper, for sure.
Thanks, Jeff Long
