Are you going to be working by hand or with a machine? If you're going to use a machine, will it be a rotary or Dual Acton Polisher (PC)?

Oh yeah, .....How serious are you wanting to get???

      Here is one option...

      1. Wash with Gold Class Wash
      2. Clay with Meguiars Quik Clay Kit
      3. Wash again with Gold Class Wash
      4. Use a Cleaner like Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner OR #9 Swirl Remover 2.0
      5. Polish with Deep Crystal Polish OR use #81 Hand Polish
      6. 2 coats of NXT Wax

There are lots of other that is just what I have found works well on my black lightning.

        NVCobra,

you could try using Meguiar's Car Care RX
        http://www.meguiars.com/carrx.cfm

it's good in that it takes into consideration what you want, and basically tells you want to use for each step. all you would need to do is to substitute NXT at the end (if it doesn't recommend NXT).

            I would agree with gb387.

The Meguiar's Deep Crystal system is a great place to start (and continue with) if you're applying by hand. Just replace the DC#3 with the NXT wax as gb387 has suggested.

It will take some time and work, but you'll love the results!
A great finish begins with the right start!

              Hi NBCobra,

First question, what condition is your car's finish right now?

Excellent - Like new, no swirls, scratches or oxidation.
Good - Light swirls, scratches and oxidation.
Neglected - heavy swirls, scratches, etchings, staining and oxidation.

At Meguiar's we teach to first evaluate the finish, then determine how you will be doing your work and how much time you want to spend. This will help to determine which product to use.

                  Hi NV Cobra,

The reason I asked was just to make sure it wasn't one extreme or another, (just trying to be professional )

Here is an easy system that I show every Saturday at our detailing clinics,

Wash car with a non-detergent car wash
Clay car with Quik Clay System
                  Clean Paint using ScratchX
Polish paint with Deep Crystal Polish
Protect with two thin coats of Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax
Maintain with Meguiar's Quik Detailer and NXT Generation Spray Wax

Use this how-to article for a guide for applying the ScratchX,

How to remove a defect by hand with ScratchX

                  Hope this helps...
