I found this link in "search":
3 years with no swirl correction... or, the value of Cleaner Wax
which is related to my question , but, it's not a "newbie" forum so I put my question here.
I helped a friend with a very neglected white Honda. I focused on the washed but still "furry" roof and gave it a good Megs Kit claying. Since the negect will continue, I wanted to expedite, skipped polishing and then applied #6 cleaner wax followed by 1 coat of NXT 12 hours later.
My intent was to get 2 coats of wax on. However, did the NXT simply remove the #6? I did not rub the NXT in, and gently removed it after it passed Megs swipe test. Do I now have the 2 coat recommendation for NXT?
My purpose is to eventually get the perfect finish for a neglected daily driver. "Perfect" for what I am trying to do: protect first, make it look the best it can second.
Each time I work the focus will be on claying, when that issue is delt with I will focus on the best Cleaner, etc. I am not ready to detail anything. Still trying to learn how to wash and clay.
