dusty #83 & nxt 2.0

I was working with some #83 and as im working with the g110 and when im removing it there is alot of dust, is this normal?

And the same goes for nxt 2.0. anyone have the same results?

Ive never noticed a lot of dust with Nxt2.0.

Ive only used 83 a few times but I dont remember any dust. You shouldnt let 83 dry since its a cleaner/polish. Work it in then remove it with w MF while its wet.

With #83 it can happen, I've seen it but never using NXT Tech Wax.
Clean your pad often, this will help eliminate that "dust" that you see, it's dry particles of the product that exit the pad, this is what you are seeing

Clean your pads often and if you can, use a soft tooth brush to clean the borders of the pad, this will clean those chunks of dried product

What are you using to clean the pad when cleaning on the fly?

I had this problem when I was learning how to use #83 + DA and THEN I learned about cleaning the pad on the fly.
I figured out that using a MF towel + a tooth brush I eliminated all product that was saturated in the pad, never had this problem again

Hey,

Was the pad you were using new?

Sometimes a new pad will have tiny particles fly off from the manufacturing process. This will stop after the pad gets used. I tend to prime all pads with a little #34 Final Inspection before using the pad. I will lightly mist the pad, work it in by hand and then remove the excess with a clean towel.

M83 should not be dusting unless you are working it too long, or you are not using enough product and/or higher than speed 5. Usually one of those can cause some mild dusting. I would suggest using more product and keep the speed at 5 max as recommended by Meguiar's.

Overall, I would bet the dusting is being caused by the pad, whether because it is new or because it was used and now dried products is dusting out of it.

Sounds like you're buffing to long with the M83

Are you on the 5.0 setting or the 6.0 setting?

Remember to clean you pad often and always wipe off any spent residue from the panel before applying fresh product.

As for the NXT it sounds like you're applying it at too high a speed and/or buffing it to long.

If you've properly prepared the paint for application of wax then all you need to do is make 2-3 passes over each square inch when applying a wax and then move on to new territory. You don't work a wax alike a cleaner/polish unless you're using a cleaner/wax.

The nxt I applied by hand I used the paste style I applied the wax let it dry than removed, maybe i used to much/to thick? The #83 with a g110 on the 5-5.5 speed on a 8006 pad. First time I used it just didnt know what to expect.

While i have never experienced dusting from NXT you do want to make sure and apply a thin even coat. If you put it on real thick i imagine you could get some dusting and it would also be a little difficult to remove
