Is it possible to remove swirls with the deep crystal products? If so would I use the paint cleaner or the polish?

Re: Swirl Removal with DC products

You can remove very very light swirls using the DC1 but not the DC2 as DC2 is a pure polish, in Meguiar's terminology this means it's non-abrasive, thus it won't abrade the paint and thus it won't remove any swirls.

DC1 is our lightest, most non-aggressive paint cleaner, so it usually doesn't meet most people expectations for speed and effectiveness for removing swirls.

It will remove swirls but you have to use good technique and the swirls cannot be very deep. Another factor that will greatly effect how well it works or doesn't work is how hard or soft or how polishable your particular car's paint is.

It would be faster if you're working by hand or machine to use ScratchX or our new M105 Ultra Cut Compound.

I have a tube of scratchx. How does scratchx compare to the agressivness of #83? Can I use 83 with a rotary?

Scratchx comes in such a small tube :P

It's not close at all. ScratchX is closer in it's aggressiveness as M82 which is a way of saying it's not very aggressive as M82 is not very aggressive.

Yes. Do you have a bottle of M83? Do you own a rotary buffer?

M83 is in our "Professional Line", if you look at the picture on the label is shows Mike Pennington using a rotary buffer, that's a visual indicator as to how the product is best used.

        Again...

I meant can I use scratchx with a rotary buffer? I do not have #83.

Im working on my 88 Dodge shadow. Ice blue and the paint looks dull even though I really take care of the paint.
