Ive heard a rumor floating around about using a brand new washing mit to dust off the light dust on you car. Ive heard it does not cause any scratches or swirl marks and it does not push the dust further into the paint. Does anyone know anything about this. Thankx.

Re: Washing mit as a dust cloth.
Well i have not heard anything about that but i would think it would really depend on what type of mit you use and you cant use any pressure at all. You will want a mit with real long and soft fibers that will lift the dust and pull it into the mitt so your not just rubbing the dust over the surface of the car. Anything less than that and you will be installing micro scratches all over""Some of us will do our jobs well and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing - the result." - Vince Lombardi

Re: Washing mit as a dust cloth.
Using something like the Microfiber Wash Mitt would be about the same as using a Supreme Shine cloth.
So I'd say both would be fine to use with a QD, but I dont know about just dragging dust around.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
