first timed clayed and i loved it

just finished my first time claying a vech for a friend and thought it did a wonderful job. Then i did the cleaner wax, polish , then tech wax , by hand i might add, and the results where fantastic, will be on the look out for a machine next year though, my shoulders, i feel like the karate kid,wax on wax off.Question can you clay chrome?

Yes you can clay chrome and anything that is smooth, like glass and stainless steel trim.

Most people would look at this 69 Cougar and think

Wow! what a beautiful car!



And it is a beautiful car, but the reality was the paint felt like #40 grit sandpaper and while to the casual observer it looked good, it was lacking in GLOSS.


Here's what some clay looked like after only claying a small section of the hood.



Bonded contaminants create TEXTURE and texture reduces gloss because it reduces smoothness. Gloss comes from smoothness.

Claying also enables your choice of wax to last longer because it enables your choice of wax to stick or adhere better to the paint.

And claying doesn't instill scratches or remove paint like what we use to use before clay was introduced and that was typically rubbing or polishing compounds.
